Hello, my name is Ali and I am the father of Hassan. I grew up without my parents because they were killed, I don'r remember really how but without them I had a tough childhood, but despite hat I continue with my life, not permitting the memory of the parents hold me back. Many people said things about me, maybe are good things or maybe bad, but I think that I'm a modest man, more than anyone that I know. I'm loyal to my son Hassan, that converts me in a good father for him. I like to be kind and tolerant with others. My battle is the punishment of my physical defromities thanks to my polio illness and ethnicity. For everyone else, I am a kind and loving man.Yet, I does not have an easy life. The Polio affected me in my youth and severely damaged one of my legs. I also suffers a type paralysis of my lower facial muscles, which gives me the appearance of always being unhappy. Despite these physical limitations, I’m also Hazara and we are a persecuted minority. This leaves me a subject to much verbal abuse from other residents of the neighborhood we and Hassan live in. I get married with my cousin, Sanaubar, one of the most desirable women in the city. Sometimes I ask myself that if Sanaubar does not want to be married to an older man with different physical features. She does not find anything about me appealing and made no secret of her disdain for my appearance'. The moment of happiness that will last for the rest of my life comes with the birth of my son Hassan. He is my pride and joy. After Sanaubar gives birth to him, we noticed the cleft lip on the baby, and notes that I now have a son to do all of my smiling for me. Sanaubar never holds Hassan, and then I feel that a knife pierced my heart when I noticed that she leaves me several days after the birth. From that moment I take care of my boy and raises him up to be a fine and a good man.
